Gannett Media was looking to develop initial proof-of-concept design and digital marketing for a mobile app known as Mouse. The purpose of the app would be to connected its users to local music and entertainment events while giving them an opportunity to gain rewards points alongside a social networking platform. Without much input other than an established brand identity, they let Ten Stories take the reins to develop a short and exciting marketing video to tease the vibe and capabilities of the Mouse app.
With a modest limitation to their budget, it was up to Ten Stories to concept, storyboard and design what would end up being a highly-stylized mixture of live-action and motion graphics. Most of our work is a collaborative process with our clients and it’s not often we get to exercise a high level of creative control, which made this project a particularly fun opportunity to reinforce a brand identity.
